Inspiration Behind the Name
The Augusta is named for Augusta Van Buren, a pioneer who challenged expectations and redefined what women were capable of.
In 1916, Augusta and her sister Adeline set out on an extraordinary cross-country motorcycle journey, traveling more than 5,000 miles from New York to California. Their ride was more than an adventure — it was a statement that women were capable of serving as military dispatch riders and taking on roles traditionally reserved for men.
Despite difficult roads, resistance, and even arrests along the way, Augusta remained unwavering in her purpose.
The Augusta carries that same spirit — built for movement, resilience, and the women who continue to push forward.
Canvas Care Suggestions
When spot cleaning the canvas, we recommend using a brush or sponge with water only to gently wipe the soiled area. We do not recommend using cleaners or products other than water, as they may discolor the canvas.
