A TYPICAL DAY IN THE (WORK) LIFE:
A typical day is - well - really not so typical because I am not doing the same thing every day. Perhaps this is one aspect I like best about the Remote Riveter work life; I am my own Process Improvement Department and therefore can change the work flow when I see fit. I usually set my work up in an assembly line i.e. one day cut material, one day work on zippers, one day sew on open pockets, etc. The great thing is that when I get bored of the assemble line, I can spice it up a little and switch it from assembly line to making five complete liners at a time.
COFFEE ORDER:
Skinny vanilla latte with extra shot of espresso.
ULTIMATE JAM:
My "jam" includes a list of romantic comedy movies that are a must have in any household. The current rotation includes: She is Out of Your League, How to Win a Date with Todd Hamilton, and Something Borrowed.
FAVORITE R.RIVETER PRODUCT:
The Hobby.
FAVORITE R.RIVETER MARKETPLACE PRODUCT:
Bracelets from Charliemadison Original.
FIRST JOB:
Classroom assistant at my mom's daycare center.
GROWING UP YOU WANTED TO BE A:
IA awyer.
THE BEST THING ABOUT THE R.RIVETER COMMUNITY:
Belonging to something bigger than yourself, with others who share similar paths and Patriotism.
WHAT ARE YOU "IN IT" FOR?:
I find that depending on life's season, will determine my "in it" factor. Currently, I love seeing the creative interest that sewing brings out in my daughter. The influence I have on her by the simple act of creating something with my hands inspires me to continue. This simple act was the same for me as a child watching my mom sew quilts, school dresses, Halloween costumes, and eventually, my wedding dress. I am now the mom sewing and my daughter is the one eagerly awaiting her first sewing machine and cutting board.
