Standing with Those Who Serve: Honoring National Police Week 2025
Every May, we pause as a nation to recognize and honor the brave men and women who serve in law enforcement during National Police Week. From May 11–17, 2025, we join communities across the country in reflecting on the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of our nation’s law enforcement officers—especially those who have laid down their lives in the line of duty.
At R. Riveter, we understand service. It’s woven into the very fabric of our company. Founded by military spouses, our mission has always been rooted in honoring those who serve and supporting the families who stand beside them. This week, we extend that mission to include the law enforcement community—many of whom are veterans, reservists, military spouses, and families like ours.
More Than a Badge
Behind every badge is a person. A mother. A father. A sibling. A friend. A neighbor. They are the ones running toward danger when others run away. They are the ones working long shifts, missing holidays, and making sacrifices most of us will never see.
Honoring the Fallen, Supporting the Living
National Police Week is more than a memorial—it’s a moment of national solidarity. It’s a reminder that the sacrifices of the fallen will never be forgotten and that their families are never alone. This week, the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, D.C. becomes a place of reflection and reverence. But you don’t have to be in D.C. to show your support.
Here’s how you can honor law enforcement in your own community this week:
-
Attend a local Police Week event or candlelight vigil.
-
Send a handwritten note of thanks to your local department.
-
Support organizations that care for fallen officers’ families.
-
Wear blue, display a blue ribbon, or pin to show solidarity.
-
Simply say “thank you” to an officer you see in your day.
R. Riveter’s Commitment to Service
As a company built on the power of purpose-driven women, we believe in lifting up those who serve—and the people behind them. Whether it’s through meaningful employment for military spouses or supporting organizations that empower veterans and first responders, we stand with those who give so much for our freedom and safety.
This week, and always, we honor the courage and sacrifice of our nation’s law enforcement officers. To every officer, and every family behind the badge: thank you. Your service matters. Your sacrifice is seen. And you are never forgotten.
