First established in 1950, Armed Forces Day is a national holiday dedicated to honoring the men and women serving in the United States Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force, and Coast Guard. Unlike Veterans Day or Memorial Day, which honor past service or sacrifice, this day is all about recognizing those who currently stand watch.
