National Day of the Deployed: Honoring Our Heroes and Their Families
How R.Riveter Honors Our Heroes
This day holds special meaning to R.Riveter. We were built by military spouses who understand first hand the challenges of deployment. Every R.Riveter bag tells part of that story. Each bag is made by a network of remote Riveters- many of whom have faced the struggles of deployment themselves- stitching hope, pride, and purpose into every seam.
Every R.Riveter bag supports military families and reminds us that even when we're miles apart, we are always connected.
What Does Today Represent?
Every year on October 26, we take time to recognize the brave men and women who serve our country far from home- and their families they leave behind. Today is a day of gratitude, reflexion, and unity. It reminds us the strength and courage it takes to wear the uniform but also the immense support their families provide.
Deployment is more than distance- it's months of missed birthdays, holidays, and milestones. It's holding onto a five minute phone call, not knowing when the next call will be. It's anxiously waiting for the mail to arrive, hoping there will be a letter from home. All the while having an unwavering dedication to duty. Service members across the globe represent the best of what our nation stands for: selflessness, courage, and commitment to something greater than themselves.
But behind every deployed hero is a network of family, friends, and communities who serve in their own way. Spouses manage households on their own, wrangling their children from school to soccer practice. While somehow still managing to get dinner on the table. Children adapt to the long separation, and learn what a real hero looks like. Their strength and sacrifice deserves equal recognition on this day.
Your Support Drives Our Mission
Today, we thank them all. We thank every deployed service member. We thank every family. And we thank every community that continues to support and uplift those who serve and their families. Together we can make a difference and honor those who serve our country.
