Ever since I received my USMA Patton crossbody from my now fiance almost three Christmases ago, it’s hard to imagine a time without it. Though the Patton is the smallest of the R. Riveter handbags, it has been with me as I’ve embarked on some of my greatest adventures. The Patton is perfect because it holds all of the essentials every woman needs when she’s taking on the world. Here are 5 of the greatest adventures my Patton has been on.
My First Trip to Alaska
It seems like Alaska is one of those places on everyone’s bucket list and mine was no different. Before I started dating my fiance, I never really imagined myself crossing that trip off of the seemingly endless bucket list. However, when you fall in love with someone from Alaska, you’re odds of visiting the great state definitely goes up. My first trip to Alaska was just a few months after I got my Patton and our first great adventure together.
Army’s Best Football Season Since 1996
My little Patton has kept me company at every Army home game for the past two seasons, including the 2016 season where Army went on to finish the season 8-5. It was their best season since 1996. The Patton also makes a great addition to any game day outfit.
Getting Engaged in Central Park
On November 12, 2016 my Patton and I took the train ride into New York City that would change our lives forever. That cold yet sunny November day, my boyfriend took me to Central Park and proposed! If we’re being honest, my Patton is probably going to be my go-to bag for our wedding day.
Watching Army Beat Navy
I think most military spouses are familiar with the Army/Navy rivalry but experience an Army/Navy football game is an incredible experience in and of itself. In case you missed it, Army had a 15 game losing streak against Navy… until last year. 2016 was the year the streak broke and I was there with my Patton in tow. Coincidence? I think not.
Brunch Tour of the Hudson Valley
I don’t know about y’all, but I love brunch. My number one mission in life is to try brunch everywhere at least once. Probably a pretty unrealistic goal but that doesn’t mean I can’t start in my own town! Name a more perfect combination than a Patton and a mimosa, I’ll wait.
