Every year, on the fourth Saturday of October, communities across the nation come together for Make A Difference Day, a celebration of the power of volunteerism and community service. At R. Riveter, we believe that making a difference extends beyond just one day. It's a continuous commitment to empowering individuals, supporting communities, and fostering resilience.
This year, on October 22nd, we are proud to highlight how our collections – including Fight Like Rosie, Forget Me Not, and Red Poppy – embody the spirit of Make A Difference Day by driving positive change every day.
Fight Like Rosie: Strength and Resilience
The Fight Like Rosie collection is more than just a tribute to the iconic Rosie the Riveter; it's a testament to the strength and resilience of women everywhere. This collection was created in collaboration with Lorelei Colbert, a military spouse and breast cancer survivor.

Forget Me Not: Memory and Legacy
Our Forget Me Not collection is designed to honor female Veterans who have bravely paved the way for future generations. Each piece in this collection serves as a reminder to cherish the memories of those who have made a significant impact on our lives.
Each delicate flower, meticulously stitched, honors the sacrifices and achievements of those that paved the way. It is a heartfelt nod to their strength, resilience, and enduring legacy.

Red Poppy: Hope and Remembrance
The Red Poppy collection was released in honor of National Poppy Day. The red poppy's association with remembrance began in the wake of the destruction left behind by WWI in Europe, where poppies began to flourish in the war-torn Flanders Field. This unexpected bloom was due to the lime-enriched soil, changing the chemical makeup of the earth and giving way to a striking sea of red poppies. These resilient flowers have endured as a powerful symbol for memorializing the loss of many during wartime.
What started as a poem in 1915 has grown into a nationwide tradition, reminding us to remember the sacrifices of those we have lost and to honor the hope for which they fought. The Red Poppy collection is a tribute to this enduring symbol of hope and remembrance.
