Introducing the Makers Series

R.Riveter's new Makers Series is a celebration of creatives. 

Each collection in the series will feature different artists, and explore ways to incorporate various mediums and creative ideas into our American Handmade products. The collections will be small batches of one-of-a-kind products. 

What is the inspiration behind the Makers Series?

The Makers Series came about in a very similar way as the idea for R.Riveter’s Marketplace. We started noticing people in our local community creating beautiful things, honing their skills, and developing themselves as artists and creatives. Specifically, I was inspired by a close friend of mine - a military spouse who has been on a journey to find herself and embrace who that person truly is. She isn’t afraid to try new things, and never set out to be an artist - yet, she gave herself the opportunity to be creative and has blossomed into this incredibly talented individual.

That kind of energy and creativity is electric - so we started thinking, why not combine our skills with those of creative individuals? Art comes in all forms, shapes and sizes, and we wanted this new Makers Series to be an exploration and celebration of art and the makers behind each creative piece.

(I’m thrilled to let you in on a little secret - the very same friend who inspired this series is the creative mastermind behind the art in our very first collection!)

When will you be sharing more about the first collection in the Makers Series?
You’ll definitely want to mark these dates on your calendars - we will be unveiling the featured artist behind Collection No. 1 on July 9th, and the inaugural Makers Series Collection will be available to shop on www.rriveter.com and in our Flagship Retail Store on July 19th.

Why is it important for R.Riveter to feature, cultivate and support creatives?
There is no greater feeling than when someone stands up and supports your efforts. Throughout the last 8+ years, we’ve had incredible support from our friends, family and nationwide community (looking at you!), and truly believe that the only way to the top is together.

Investing time and energy to celebrate and grow each other truly pays it forward and helps us use R.Riveter’s platform of empowerment for even more good.

How many collections will be in the Makers Series?
This is the best part – candidly, that’s yet to be decided. We’ve been so inspired by this whole project, we’ve decided to open up for submissions to be considered for future collections.
