Introducing the “Fight Like Rosie” Collection: Empowering Women, Supporting Breast Cancer Survivors
At R. Riveter, we believe in the power of community, resilience, and the strength of women. As Breast Cancer Awareness Month approaches, we are proud to launch the 2024 “Fight Like Rosie” collection—a tribute to the indomitable spirit of women everywhere and a direct support to a local hero in our military spouse community.
Empowerment, Resilience, and Kindness: Together, We Fight Like Rosie
Our new collection is a movement inspired by the courage and tenacity of Lorelei Colbert, a military spouse and breast cancer survivor. Diagnosed at just 28 years old with triple negative breast cancer, Lorelei’s journey through chemotherapy led her to create the Chemo to Kindness℠ Challenge, spreading hope and compassion in the face of adversity.
Strength in Every Stitch: The Collection
The "Fight Like Rosie" collection is designed with symbols of strength and resilience, echoing the iconic Rosie the Riveter. Each piece—from our handcrafted bags to limited-edition accessories—embodies the spirit of fighting through the toughest battles.
A special pink-themed accessory, available for a limited time, will see a portion of proceeds directly supporting Lorelei’s ongoing advocacy work.
Lorelei’s Story: From Survivor to Advocate
Lorelei’s story is one of incredible strength. She not only fought her own battle, but turned her experience into a mission to help others.
Her Chemo to Kindness℠ Challenge has inspired a global movement, encouraging people to perform acts of kindness in their communities. Over 1,700 acts of kindness and 75 organizations around the world have originated from her challenge.
Through her story, we aim to raise awareness about breast health, particularly among young women in the military community.
