Glimmers of sunshine and the subtle warmth of the air bring hope for a new season. As we emerge from hibernation the Earth whispers hello in the wind on our face and nature winks with the unfolding of new life.
Our Spring 2020 collection is designed to bring you close to Earth. The color palette mimics natural hues, helping us become grounded by our surroundings. This is kinship. Our collection brings familiarity to your fingertips and offers the opportunity to become reacquainted with Earth.
Be one with your surroundings.
The Dot is named for Dorothy Braden who was a high school physics and french teacher until she heard that the Army was looking for college-educated southern teachers. The details of the position were vague and the strange interview was held in a random hotel room, but according to her she was "up for anything at that point."
In just a few weeks, Dot learned Japanese and became an expert cryptographer. She even knew that the Japanese had surrendered before President Truman did. This job was very hush-hush, so Dot and her coworkers were threatened with espionage punishable by life in prison.
In 2017, after the NSA declassified everything, Dot was eventually convinced to tell her amazing story which can now be enjoyed for generations to come.
The Dot is a special handbag. Not only does it pay homage to an incredible woman, it also empowers military spouses today. Each part and piece of the Dot is handcrafted by military spouses across the country, allowing them to earn flexible, mobile income in a transient life with their soldier.
Maintenance of R. Riveter Leather:
We love using real veg tanned leather in our handbags because they just better with age. If you happen to get scratches or water marks, you can usually get the bag looking new again with just a little maintenance.

Canvas Care Suggestions:
When spot cleaning the canvas, we suggest using a brush or sponge with water only to wipe it off soiled area. We do not recommend using anything other than water as it could discolor canvas material.

As a military spouse, I love supporting other military spouses.
I’ll be back for more.
The colour is deep and rich and the size is perfect. Not too big for everything I need (including a small knitting project) but not so large as to be overpowering or heavy.
I absolutely love the options of using it as a shoulder/crossbody bag and of having the grab and go handles.
This (and the Otto) are my perfect bags!
