This January in honor of National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, we’re launching two Special Edition Margot totes as the perfect way to honor our law enforcement officers. The navy canvas Margot tote features an American flag emblem with one blue stripe in honor of police officers, and the black canvas version includes an American flag with a red stripe dedicated to our firefighters.

Meet Margot. It’s the perfect one arm, over-the-shoulder commuter bag that you can transition straight to poolside when the time comes. Margot's interior is open and generous with space, and the exterior slip pocket keeps your essentials right where you need them.

Each R.Riveter handbag takes a journey across the country before arriving at your doorstep. Components are crafted by independent military spouses in their homes around the nation and shipped to R.Riveter's FabShop to be assembled into a one-of-a-kind product.

Inspiration Behind the Name

Named after Margaret Hardenbroeck DeVries Philipse (c. 1630-c. 1690).

Margaret Hardenbroeck DeVries Philipse (c. 1630-c. 1690) or as we call her, “Margot”, exemplified strong, independent female authority. She was educated, independent and entrepreneurial in the 17th century, when women were not typically those things.

She fought for women’s rights under Dutch law and eventually migrated to NYC where she continued to dominate as a business owner in the shipping industry and as an advocate for women’s marital rights.

Canvas Care Suggestions:
When spot cleaning the canvas, we suggest using a brush or sponge with water only to wipe it off soiled area. We do not recommend using anything other than water as it could discolor canvas material.
