There’s something about suede around the holidays that makes it cozier than it already is. We love the soft touch it gives our fingertips and the elevated style it offers to our outfits. Our holiday colors Evergreen, Sugarplum and Black will keep you in the festive spirit while providing you with ample space to store your necessities. Wear it crossbody to free up your hands to carry presents or a warm festive drink.
Each R.Riveter handbag takes a journey across the country before arriving at your doorstep. Components are crafted by independent military spouses in their homes around the nation and shipped to R.Riveter's FabShop to be assembled into a one-of-a-kind product.
The Patton is one of R.Riveter’s most versatile handbags. With the ability to be worn as a shoulder bag, a hands-free crossbody bag or a clutch, the Patton is truly a 3-in-1.
About our Midnight Noir Collection:
Clinking glasses, roaring laughter, and each of your loved ones dressed to the nines. This collection was inspired by all things Baroque. Let these dramatic prints, luxe leathers and swanky suedes do all the talking this year. Midnight Noir brings the party wherever it is taken. Gift it or get it for yourself—we all could use a little spice in our holiday season, so let’s start with our accessories.
Inspiration Behind the Name:
Named after Beatrice Patton, wife of World War II General George S. Patton, this handbag represents the strong and spirited woman that Mrs. Patton was. Not only was she bilingual in English and French, she was also an expert in equestrian and an advocate of military training.
Maintenance of R. Riveter Leather:
We love using real veg tanned leather in our handbags because they just better with age. If you happen to get scratches or water marks, you can usually get the bag looking new again with just a little maintenance.

How to Care for Your Suede
Suede is a unique type of leather created by sanding or buffing the outside of cowhides to produce a short, velvety nap. This creates a unique, stylish look compared to other types of leather.
How to Waterproof Suede
Ideally, it’s best to waterproof your Suede before you use them. This way, you won’t have to worry about the weather suddenly changing and not being prepared.
We recommend spraying our Suede with a waterproofing spray that is not silicone-based. Be careful not to treat the full grain veg tan leather; see leather instructions here.
How to Clean Suede
Dirt can be removed using a small brush, either a natural gum latex or fine wire brush. You could also use simple hand soap on a washcloth or sponge. After washing, you’ll want to allow the bag to air dry. Do not use heat to dry, as this can cause the leather to stiffen.
After cleaning your bag, we recommend that you brush them with a stiff suede brush.
