Are you inspired by Rosie the Riveter’s roll-up-your-sleeves, can-do attitude? So are we! This bag is in honor of her and all current-day Riveters - like you! This Grant tote is special because the cotton was milled into denim right here in the US, the bag was assembled in Florida and parts and pieces were handmade across the country making mobile, flexible income possible for military spouses across the nation.
The Grant was one of our first-ever bags to be sold to the public. Its large size allows it to take on anything you need it to be. A work bag, diaper bag—you name it, The Grant can handle it and help to keep you organized. On the outside, there are easy to access pockets to store those little bits you need on hand like your phone, keys, and sunglasses. When you look on the inside you’re met with a roomy interior for large items like a laptop or books, a zippered pocket for the items you need extra safe, two open interior pockets for pens, lip balms, and things of that nature, and finally, our favorite part of this anniversary bag—the built-in pouch. We wanted to make this anniversary bag a bit more special, so we’ve included an extra pouch. Treat it as a place for feminine products, snack pouch, electronic cord holder—you get the point.
Offering it in Denim with black trim was a no brainer. This one comes with a one-of-a-kind, limited-edition scarf. Grab this special bag before its gone!
Each R.Riveter handbag takes a journey across the country before arriving at your doorstep. Components are crafted by independent military spouses in their homes around the nation, and shipped to R.Riveter's FabShop to be assembled into a one-of-a-kind product.
Inspiration Behind the Name
The Grant was named after Julia Boggs Dent Grant, wife of General Ulysses S. Grant. Mrs. Grant served as a military spouse, raising their children while her husband was often deployed. During the Civil War President Lincoln sent for Mrs. Grant to join her husband, aware of the positive effect she had on him. Mrs. Grant's presence lifted her husbands spirits and buoyed his confidence; she covered more than 10,000 miles in four years -- and nearly 4,000 in just the first year to be with her husband. As First Lady, Mrs. Grant served as an active participant in presidential matters. Mrs. Grant was a true leader of our time, and played a significant role in our country's history.
Denim Care and Indigo Disclaimer:
Due to the natural characteristics of this fabric, the coloring may rub off on light colored fabrics and upholstery (similar to a new pair of denim jeans). Care should be taken when wearing with light colored clothing. General wear and use will fade the color and gain its unique appearance. Because of the unique properties of denim, please use a specialist for professional cleaning.
Maintenance of R. Riveter Leather:
We love using real veg tanned leather in our handbags because they just better with age. If you happen to get scratches or water marks, you can usually get the bag looking new again with just a little maintenance.
