INTRODUCING THE MARGOT. This is your tote. It’s the perfect one arm, over-the-shoulder commuter bag that you can transition straight to poolside when the time comes.

The 18oz 100% cotton duck canvas provides the structure to be seamless without being too heavy, and the 1.5” wide webbing handles are sleek and soft. We’re taking this one for a spin all summer long and we might not ever put it down. Margot's interior is open and generous with space, and the exterior slip pocket keeps your essentials right where you need them.

Each R.Riveter handbag takes a journey across the country before arriving at your doorstep. Components are crafted by independent military spouses in their homes around the nation and shipped to R.Riveter's FabShop to be assembled into a one-of-a-kind product.

Inspiration Behind the Name

Named after Margaret Hardenbroeck DeVries Philipse (c. 1630-c. 1690).

Margaret Hardenbroeck DeVries Philipse (c. 1630-c. 1690) or as we call her, “Margot”, exemplified strong, independent female authority. She was educated, independent and entrepreneurial in the 17th century, when women were not typically those things.

She fought for women’s rights under Dutch law and eventually migrated to NYC where she continued to dominate as a business owner in the shipping industry and as an advocate for women’s marital rights.

Canvas Care Suggestions:
When spot cleaning the canvas, we suggest using a brush or sponge with water only to wipe it off soiled area. We do not recommend using anything other than water as it could discolor canvas material.
