We’re wrapping up our 10th anniversary with three special styles from the past! The Alexander gets extra points for style and flair. The unique leather detailing adds an element of sophistication to this silhouette. The exterior offers 3 open and easy to access pockets for phones, keys, and more, while the brass feet keep your bag standing upright and clean. Two shorter handles and one adjustable crossbody strap give you flexibility when it comes to carrying the bag.
On the interior, two open pockets and one zippered pocket will give you plenty of space to store sunnies, feminine products, and keep your wallet in place. When you’re ready to be on the move, a zipper closure at the top of the bag will ensure nothing spills out. This bag is functional and trendy.
Each R.Riveter handbag takes a journey across the country before arriving at your doorstep. Components are crafted by independent military spouses in their homes around the nation, and shipped to R.Riveter's FabShop to be assembled into a one-of-a-kind product.
INSPIRATION BEHIND THE NAME
When we first named this bag, it was in honor of Roxana Alexander—Alexander the Great’s wife. We loved the idea of her strength and leadership resonating with our customers. Now as we’re bringing it out of retirement, we’ve done some further digging and found *record scratch* she’s actually thought to have murdered a few people. YIKES. We hate to add to cancel culture, but in this case, it needed to be done.
Let us formally reintroduce you to The Alexander, but this time we’re not naming it after another woman in history. We’re embracing what the name “Alexander” or “Alexandria” means—"the defender of mankind". Now, when you carry this bag, let it be a reminder that you hold the key to make change and empower others—to defend mankind. In a way, we feel this bag is named in honor of every woman who is fighting for herself, her family, and for others.
Maintenance of R. Riveter Leather:
We love using real veg tanned leather in our handbags because they just better with age. If you happen to get scratches or water marks, you can usually get the bag looking new again with just a little maintenance.

Canvas Care Suggestions:
When spot cleaning the canvas, we suggest using a brush or sponge with water only to wipe it off soiled area. We do not recommend using anything other than water as it could discolor canvas material.
