R. Riveter Gives Back
While striving to empower military spouses through mobile and creative career opportunities, R. Riveter also makes an effort to partner with like minded Non-Profit, Veteran Owned & Military Spouse founded organizations.
It’s no surprise that we are stronger when we work together and advocate for each other. The same principle applies to our fight in bringing awareness to knowing your risk for breast cancer because early detection saves lives. The gals at R.Riveter felt our own namesake, Rosie the Riveter, perfectly captures the “can do” attitude and community support necessary to this fight. In her time, the icon was meant to encourage women that we can do whatever it is we put our minds to. This led to an uptick in women joining the workforce as their spouses headed off to war. Her internal strength is admirable. We’ve partnered up with breastcancer.org to “fight like Rosie” as the ultimate female empowerment duo. We believe education is key when it comes to breast cancer. For the months of September and October, we will be donating a portion of the sales from our Fight Like Rosie Collection to support this organization. Each bag will come with a pink support tag.
In honor of purple heart day we teamed up with Warriors on Quiet Waters to help aid their mission for post 9/11 veterans and their loved ones.
"At Warriors & Quiet Waters Foundation (WQW), we believe that we are part of the solution regarding our nation’s injured defenders by providing a respite from the stresses of war, the monotony of lengthy hospital stays and traditional therapy, and the many day-to-day struggles involved in their journey home."
April 2021 is Month of the Military Child. As a military spouse owned company, R.Riveter knows first-hand the resilience a family of a service member must possess. WE understand the challenges that come with the lifestyle and know it is not always easy to get support. We know it is not easy making frequent moves, being apart from a parent, or having to continually adjust to new norms. This purple print honors the kids who have sacrificed right alongside their parent in the military. We have partnered with the Military Child Education Coalition to donate 10% of net sales now through May to support their mission. They aim to advocate for the children of military parents so that they are equipped to move on to their next life stage whether that be grade school, college, or the working world.
Their coalition serves a community consisting of public school districts, private schools, colleges and universities, small businesses and corporations, organizations, military commands and installations, military families, and caring individuals across our Nation.

R.Riveter Marketplace
R.Riveter's mission to empower military spouses across the started with a simple idea: to enable spouses to earn mobile, flexible income. Through a unique manufacturing process, independent contractors are able to achieve this goal, by crafting components for R.Riveter handbags and accessories in their homes, no matter where they are located in the United States. R.Riveter’s dreams of helping even more military spouses and families has led to another idea—a program to help grow other military spouse businesses.
We are proud to launch R.Riveter's Military Spouse Entrepreneurship Award. Inspired by our own journey, the opportunity is meant to empower American military families by helping them finance their entrepreneurial endeavors.
A percentage of proceeds from each sale in The R.Riveter Marketplace will go towards the Award. Each year R.Riveter will host a competition, selecting two winners to receive a $2,100 award. These military spouse business owners will also have the opportunity to sell their products on R.Riveter’s Marketplace. Application details will be posted on www.rriveter.com soon.

MSEP is part of DOD's broader Spouse Education and Career Opportunities (SECO) initiative, which seeks to strengthen the education and career opportunities of military spouses by providing career exploration opportunities to help them understand their skills, interests, and goals; education and training to help them identify academic, licensing, or credentialing requirements that can help them reach their career goals; employment readiness assistance to optimize their self-marketing skills; and employment connections that help them find and maintain a rewarding career. Aaron Grider Foundation
The Aaron Grider Foundation (AGF) is an organization that connects grief-stricken individuals to one another and provides them with opportunities to serve. AGF seeks to empower and assist orphans and widows in their affliction by building bridges for surviving loved ones and families. AGF seeks to spread hope TO and THROUGH hearts in need.

The MOAA Military Family Initiative creates, enhances, expands, or supports high-impact, proven-successful programs and services that enable the nation’s uniformed service members and veterans of all ranks and their families to maintain a quality of life reflective of their selfless service to America. The foundation funds these programs and services through philanthropic contributions from the American people and organizations that support our mission. R. Riveter is proud to be one of these organizations.
Duskin + Stephens Foundation
The Duskin and Stephens Foundation supports the families of fallen members of Special Operations Forces and the educational needs of children of active duty Special Operations Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines through community outreach events, scholarships, interactive educational/recreational programs, and related activities.

Support Tags For A Cause
Every R. Riveter handbag comes accessorized with a support tag that serves as a symbol of patronage. The tags are hand-dyed yellow, by Military Spouse Riveters, in support of our military service members and their families.
As a symbol of our support, we began crafting additional hand-made support tags for the following causes.
American Red Cross - Texas Support Tags
After seeing the devastation Texas endured after Hurricane Harvey, we crafted a new support tag, hand-dyed RED, to show our solidarity for hurricane victims in Texas.
100% of profits from every Texas Support Tag sold went to the American Red Cross to support people affected by Hurricane Harvey.

As a symbol of support and strength for Breast Cancer survivors, patients and their family and friends, we hand-crafted a new support tag, hand-dyed PINK.
